How far in advance do I have to make a request to reserve space at CURRENT?
Requests should submitted at least forty-five days in advance, but dates go quickly, so the more notice, the better. We begin accepting reservation requests on the first weekday in April for the following academic year.
What dates are most available?
At this time, we are primarily looking to book events during the summer of 2018.
Can I use both spaces or just one?
The CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio may be rented separately or together.
Can I rent out the Studio or ArtSpace for my bingo night?
While we love a competitive game of bingo as much as the next guy, rentals for CURRENT should fall into the categories that appeal to the missions of UNC-Chapel Hill and Carolina Performing Arts: related to education and/or the arts. These include but are not limited to: performances, lectures, rehearsals, meetings, and creative workshops. If you’re not sure where your event falls, contact us!
How much does it cost?
Costs vary based on specific schedules and needs, but typical non-University events in the Studio cost a few hundred dollars and one or two thousand dollars in the ArtSpace. We offer discounts for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill departments and officially-recognized student organizations.
